That individual, a 27-year-old man, was transported to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood where doctors attempted to help him. The man’s injuries were too severe and he was pronounced dead while at Loyola.
Police are still investigating the incident and attempting to determine the factors that led to the collision and whether mistakes were made by anyone involved in the crash.
