Driver Injured after Car Crash in Bremen Township

Single car accidents happen every day across the state of Illinois and they occur for many reasons. Some are due to the actions or inactions of the driver behind the wheel. Others can be blamed on inclement weather or a poor road design. And still others are properly classified as a failure on some part of the vehicle itself, whether it is a manufacturing error or a design flaw in the car or in a tire.

When a car accident happens, victims may not remember the precise details that led up to the incident. It tends to be up to police, accident reconstructionists, and other experts to determine the factors that led to a collision and whether an error on the part of anyone involved played a role. Where an issue with a vehicle or a component, like a wheel or tire, is suspected, the review can take weeks to months before conclusions are made and may involve the analysis of technical data gathered from a car’s computer systems.

Those these investigations may be lengthy, there is good news for victims who are injured in crashes in the Chicago area. Those victims often do not need to conduct their own reviews or wait until information is finalized to move forward in their efforts to seek relief. Rather, working with a personal injury attorney can help victims obtain payment for their damages like medical expenses and pain and suffering without the injured driver having to fight insurance companies and others every step of the way. Injury lawyers are knowledgeable about how claims are brought and how payment may be received by those who need it, enabling victims to get the relief they deserve when an accident affects their lives.

At this time, authorities are still reviewing the facts that led to a car crash in Bremen Township to determine the cause and who or what may be liable for the harm. Officials have confirmed that the collision occurred around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday on I-80 near I-57 when the driver of the vehicle reportedly lost control. The car struck a guard rail before coming to a stop and catching fire.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and had to free the driver before transporting him to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
